Arashi currently has two shows running on TV.
I think they always had one or two shows running since their debut.
Anyways, I am currently hooked on old episodes of their D no Arashi. I finished watching G no Arashi while I was having my finals... >.>
I am going to go backwards in time and watch some C no Arashi, SOME, because a lot of the episodes are cannot be found.
But through these old episodes, we can see that Arashi has Friendship as its foundation. They all love their group, each other and their job. They did a lot and I mean A LOT of shitty stuff that even I wouldn't do. They helped people, they did documentaries. They are actually good people. When you see what they do, you'd think, "Ah, these people are actually good people."
Member-ai = LOVE. A group that doesn't love themselves cannot expect people to support them. This shows how important teamwork is. For Arashi, the love is evident, and not in a gay way. Except Ohno and Nino, I think something is going on there. >.>
And for the first time, I think I like ALL their members. I mean, even MatsuJun. They're truly a group. Their juniors can really learn a thing or two from them. (O.o) It is just... what they do, they'd do a lot for their show. They will have fun doing whatever as long as they're doing it with at least another group member. But the funnest would be when all five are together. You can see that no one is left out. I am so touched by Aiba's letter to the rest of Arashi in the 24 Hour TV episode of D no Arashi.
Screencaps from the very touching episode of D no Arashi.
Aiba started to read the letter he wrote to his fellow members.
MatsuJun was in tears... he is the youngest of the group... but he was always the cool one. So this was very surprising, but sweet.
Leader is the ultimate crybaby of the group. He cried twice that day. xD
Aiba thanked MatsuJun for being the one that cares about Arashi the most. Ohno said that before as well. MatsuJun is the member that treasures Arashi the most.
Aiba thanked Nino for... umm I am not sure what he said about Nino. But if I were to make this up and fill in the blanks. I'd say he was thanking Nino for being an honest and blunt person that keeps Arashi striving for improvement with his remarks.
Aiba thanked Sho for being the glue that holds Arashi together. He was the source of unity for the gang that could have been all over the places without Sho.
Aiba said, although leader Ohno did not do a lot of leader responsibilities, he has intrinsic value as a member. And umm, he is so adorable it makes you want to pinch his cheeks and tell him to stop being so adorable. Okay, for the last part, my fingers might or might not have made that up.
Aiba should thank himself for being such an innocent person. I mean, he is the one lifting the spirits of the others to do crappy stuff when others are complaining. He encouraged the others to do everything happily.
In addition to that, no one is riding above no one's head. There's no underdog, no one dominating the spotlight. Everyone has their... um... domain? When one is under the spotlight for a while, the others appear to be okay with it, that is because everyone has a chance to shine...
Teamwork. That is the key. They have been together for, like, 8 years to date. When they started out, Ohno probably was the odd one out because he was working in Kyoto for about 2 years on a play while the other four works in Tokyo when they were Juniors.
I bring you screencaps of one particular memorable episode of D no Arashi. Cosplaying. And know that this is not the one and only time that they cosplayed. ♥
Sho - Kindergarten Kid
Aiba - Cheerleader
Jun - Priest
Ohno - Maid
Nino - Ninja
Guest - Policewoman
They were admiring Ohno's... um suitability to the outfit.
Ohno agrees.
Is MatsuJun's smile a little too wide..? The guest was looking for breasts.
Oh his zipper is unzipped.
Let the policewoman zip it up for you!
"Unnn" The maid shyly pushed the umm policewoman away.
The kindy kid flipped the cheerleader's skirt. I tried to cap it, but it was too fast...
They all admired Aiba's long... legs... with stockings...
Aiba cosplayed as a nurse before that. That is a guy. That is a guy.
Anyways, that's all.
Member love is great. ♥♥♥♥
