[TV] SMAPxSMAP

0 Farted
22 December 2008

I never thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. I thought V6 was the oldest I'd go. I probably missed SMAP by a decade... but as the great Kojima Yoshio once said... It doesn't matter! It appears to be wrong. I never thought I'd say this, but... I... like SMAP. I actually like them. And I am now willing to give them the credit that they deserve which I haven't given them before. Sure, they cannot sing for shit. I don't take that part of what I said back. They cannot sing. But... somehow... they... just... pull you in. And I can see SMAP as the template on which Arashi was created.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
I don't know SMAP that well yet, so... I need to observe a bit first. Upon first observation, MatsuJun is KimuTaku. Nino is Nakai. Sho is Shingo. Tsuyoshi is Satoshi. Aiba-chan is Goro-chan. xD xD And it is NOT the name, I swear, upon which I decide that. KimuTaku is the... perfect example for the junior groups with a clear bait. The star of the group - I hate to say it, but there is. Jun and Kame were clearly taking notes from him. He is what all Johnny's want to be.

This is a Winter Music Special thing and all these big names went because it is SMAP's show. This show is so great because the original singers came and sang live. It is not just playing an ancient video they dug up. These people came AND sang. The songs... some were from 1985 and... these people are retired and they came. Amazing, really.
Photobucket
Hirose Koumi - Romance no Kami-sama. This song is one that I have seen numerous times on various rankings on M-sta. You know, those two/three-hour-episodes where they play videos from way back when. I thought that woman in the videos looked annoying and was too excited when she was singing. I can see that she toned down, now that song doesn't seem that bad. It wasn't bad initially, but everytime I hear that song, her overexcited face appears in my mind. I cannot have that.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Fujii Fumiya - True Love. OMFG OMFG was what I did when I saw it. To have KimuTaku do a collaboration with him on THIS particular song is amazing. I sat through the performance with my full attention on it. It was great. FYI, True Love is the theme song for Asunaro Hakusho. The drama which I didn't sit through because I decided that it was too... vintage. xD I couldn't watch the first Star Wars trilogy, okay? No matter how notorious, I just couldn't. Same thing applies here. But the song is great and the notoriety of the drama was enough to wow me. xD I don't have to watch it. xD I think KimuTaku is the sex of SMAP. No? I think MatsuJun learned from him a lot. But somehow, when MatsuJun does it, I just want to laugh. xD And I did in their recent performance on MSSL.
Photobucket
Inagaki Junichi - Christmas Carol no Koro ni ha. Err... Don't know the song. Didn't quite watch the performance. xD

Ishii Akemi - CHA-CHA-CHA. Apparently this was the song for a drama starring Akashiya Sanma back when he was all hot and hunky. Well... or something like that. xD
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Imai Miki - Piece of my Wish + Pride. I don't know why everyone likes Imai Miki. Sure the songs were kinda nice. But they weren't great. But that is just me.
Photobucket
SharanQ - Single Bed. I HAVE THIS SONG! Well, I have a few of the others like "True Love" and "Pride" too. But I have a SharanQ song! xD I don't know why I am so excited. But I seldom - or never - listen to it because his eyebrows, Tsunku's eyebrows back in 1994 scared the shit out of me. So I probably decided that I don't need to remember it. It is, however, a nice song. And Mako-chan! He was in Domoto Kyoudai was he not?
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Nakahara Ayumi - Tsubasa no Oreta Angel. This... was an amazing performance! Seriously! Gekidan Hitori was pushed on to the stage and sang along. KimuTaku was... xD like... I... xD This was a nice performance.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Bubblegum Brothers - Won't Be Long. Ah ha! I knew they were making a comeback when they collaborated with RSP on that La La La Love Song! xD And KimuTaku was oozing sex when he was dancing. I kid you not. xD What? I am in a phase. It'll pass. I mean, they're way before my time anyways. xD EXILE did a cover of this song with Koda Kumi. xD Tom! Tom is still doing Domoto Kyoudai and once rowed a boat with Arashi. xD Yes, he participated. LOL.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Makihara Noriyuki - Donna Toki mo + Mou Koi Nante Shinai + Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana. xD I love this performance! How nostalgic! I remember closing my ears from the shock when Nakai was singing "Sekai ni" at the 2003 Music Station Super Live. I was like... "And these people are big?!" xD Makihara Noriyuki writes songs that are... happy and... warm. I like. xD They're very soothing. I mean the tune. I have to say, it is a pain watching Nakai sing. More so that MatsuJun who has... undoubtedly improved. Just a bit though. But Nakai. Sigh... I have goosebumps when he sings. xDDD But oh well, he is more of a comedian. What? He isn't? I am shocked.

ISHIHARA HAS THE SAME BERFDEI AS AIBA. THEY SHOULD TOTALLY MAKE BABIES. What? xD You can tell it is a joke right? Right?! I'd like to think that I am funny.

[Drama] Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshi-tachi

0 Farted
The title literally means the Angels with Broken Wings and the theme song is "Resistance" by Nakashima Mika. We like Nakashima Mika.

Season 1

Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshi-tachi has two seasons, the first stars Ueto Aya, Horikita Maki, Yamada Yu and Ueno Juri as four girls who messed up in their lives and then got enlightened. Each girl are troubled by either money, regret, ambition and men respectively but eventually found their way back.

Episode 1 - Celeb (Ueto Aya)

Komine Nanako is from a modest background. Like every girl from a modest background, she looks up to the lives of the rich and famous. Nanako works hard everyday, including bedding men, but on a particular day of the week, she is able to live her dream as she becomes one of the special customers of a glamourous clothing shop. Dressed in her best, she visits that shop and befriended the owner who would bring dresses from the fashion capital of Paris just for Nanako. Every week, Nanako would spend her hard earned money on the expensive clothes. That is until one day, she befriended a young rich girl and learned that money cannot always buy happiness.

Episode 2 - Live Chat (Horikita Maki)

In the world of live chat, a girl known as Yuna has a job that requires her to chat to whoever that wanted to chat with her through the webcam. For some reason, this pretty girl is unwilling to go out into the real world and work there, thus she chats with people through a webcam for a living. When she goes out, she hides her face with whatever means possible and is extremely reclusive. That is until one day, a man came and chat with her and gave her encouraging words. She began to brighten up and is starting to be able to raise her head up high when she goes grocery shopping. That is until she found out who the man on the other side of the conversations is...

Episode 3 - Actress (Yamada Yu)

Yoshii Nao had an exchange of angry words with her parents when she decided that her family's doll-making business is not going to be part of her future. Nao had always wanted to be an actress and is prepared to move to Tokyo to try her hand in the acting world. But looking for opportunity is easier said and done as produces and casting directors everywhere decided that she isn't right for any major roles. Sick of being cast as an extra all the time, Nao ventured into the world of AV. Supporting herself by having a job as a hostess and having a hair stylist as an understanding boyfriend, she struggles to hide the AV job that she did. One day, her supposedly senile grandfather reunited with her in Tokyo and changes appear in her life.

Episode 4 - Slot (Ueno Juri)

Ryoko grew up without parents. She found herself being treated horribly by many of her boyfriends yet is willing to do anything just to be loved, such is the behavior of a child that grew up without the love of parents. One day, like any other day, Ryoko went home to see his boyfriend cuddling another girl, as angry as she was, she let it go. The next day she woke up to find her boyfriend gone and a little boy was left in his care. Convinced that this is the boyfriend's child she tried to contact the boyfriend, Kenji but failed. With no choice left, she had to take care of the child for a week, as mentioned by Kenji in a note on the table. Little did she know that this child will change the direction of her life and teach her things that she never knew about herself.

Season 2

This season tells the life changing story of four more young girls. At this point, it becomes a rather repetitive thing and kinda bores the shit out of me but then I have to finish it. And of course there's Oshinari Shugo in the second episode... la~ la~

Episode 1 - Impulse (Ishihara Satomi)

Yuri always sought for means to end her life. With a cold and uncaring single mother whom she thinks doesn't want to see her and her mundane convenience store job, she felt that she has no reason to live. Every time Yuri felt that she has to reason to live, she would climb to the top floor of a particular building and then hang at the corner, it is at that point between life and death that she decides which too choose. One day, a seemingly cheerful young man approaches her over and over again, often at the point where Yuri almost chose death, he saved her from it. Yuri soon learned a whole new perspective of life from the man named Hiroki.

Episode 2 - Sakura (Toda Erika)

Haruka is a girl that is dissatisfied with her poor parents and her father who seems to be too honest and stubborn. Because of her father's honesty, he got fired and the family struggles to send Haruka to university. This is when Haruka decided that she would become a 'Sakura' that is a girl who swindles the geeks at internet cafes. She would juggle a few men and have them buy her gifts which she would resell and earn money from that. By chance - or so she thought - she met Kouki, a handsome young man who is rich and ambitious. Haruka thought that she has found the man of her dreams but...

Episode 3 - Time (Kato Rosa)

Kana is a young competitive swimmer that is under a lot of pressure to be successful in the sport. With pressure from her father (her two siblings are swimming champions) and her coach, she seeks to release her tension by stealing goods for fun. She felt that she never had time for anything as her priority is swimming. One day, as usual, Kana does her theft-therapy at the same convenience story and she was caught by her childhood friend, Daisuke. The string of events that happened later that day will have an effect on her aim to win the competition. Kana slowly learned that she is striving blindly towards an aim that isn't really what she wanted.

Episode 4 - Merchandise (Karina)

Satou Yoshimi became Misaki when she went under the knife, threw away the face that she was born with and thus threw away her past. She became beautiful and is currently the top hostess at a hostess club. Her every wish will be made reality by her client, Maekawa who seeks to fulfill her wishes for his own pleasure. Even though she has many things that she didn't have before, somehow, she felt that something is missing. One evening, after work, she stopped by a pet shop and befriended one of the employees and a puppy at the shop. Slowly, she discovers what is the one thing that she desires most.

[Drama] Kimi wa Petto

[Moved from my old blog.]

Starring: Koyuki, MatsuJun, Eita, Ishihara Satomi,...

Story starts with Iwaya Sumire, a cold, lonely career woman getting dumped by her boyfriend of two years. She also received a demotion after punching her boss on the face causing him to lose his front tooth.

The night after she was demoted she went home all gloomy and sad. And then she saw a box in front of her condo building.

She opened the box and found a puppy-like man sleeping inside the box, injured. He reminded her of her dead dog Momo.

She brought him home and nursed him back to health, thinking he'd leave the next day.
She cooked for him and all and later came back from work to discover that the man wanted to stay.

At first she was against the idea, then the man was like "I'd do anything, just let me stay!"
She jokingly suggested for him to be her pet. He agreed to her surprise.

Awwwww.... MatsuJun is sho kiut in here like a fluffy-animal-thing.
See, he gave her his hand... like a well-trained pup would.
Eita plays MatsuJun's character's friend. MatsuJun's character wasn't always Momo, at times, he'd go to dance classes and have a social life. He also has a bitch... I mean girlfriend(since he is sometimes a dog and all... even I am confused if he is a dog or a man) pining for him all the time. And fans of his dancing.

Soon Sumire grew attached to this understanding, cute, cheerful pet of hers.
Her ex was played by Nagano Hiroshi of V6, since they sang the theme song... its no surprise.
Despite all the cuteness, MatsuJun's natural aura of arrogance still shows up at times... and he really has this arrogant look. Even without trying.
"Wash my hair, clean my scalp!"
Shoooo kiut!

Koyuki appeared in "The Last Samurai" the same year this was aired, I think. She reminds me of a certain PK HEM I had back in school. It was disturbing.

Anyways, MatsuJun at his fluffiest and cutest in here. I don't mean in a guy-cute sorta way. I mean he was playing a puppy to his Sumire-chan. It was just plain cute, like how you would call a puppy cute.

Eita plays the best friend whose name I still can't remember, like how I couldn't remember his character's name in "Nodame Cantabile" and "Sapuri".

Ishihara Satomi plays Momo/Takeshi's ex. She looks so young in here. She recently appeared in another drama called "Hanayome to Papa" with Taguchi Junnosuke of KAT-TUN. That guy with the suspicious smile... I am planning to watch that, but only after it finishes airing.

To wrap it up, MatsuJun's cuteness makes the whole thing so... awwwwwww.

But since I was watching Taguchi Junnosuke in Yukan Club I thought I might as well watch this since he is in there as well. And Taguchi is funny!

Koizumi Kotaro is former Prime Minister Koizumi Junichiro's son. Yes, the First Son is a hot shot actor. He appeared in Attention Please as well!

Ishihara Satomi reminds me a lot of Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin. And Uzaki Kentarou aka the controlling father pissed me off so much I wanted to strangle him if I could. (O.o) Ishihara used to be in a drama called Teru Teru Kazoku with Nishikido Ryo. xD And, and in that drama Nishikido serenaded her in English. I was like... *imitates Nakai in the puking action.* Blllueeek.

Yeah.

Oshinari Shugo played a minor character, but I spotted him right away! He appeared in Yukan Club as well with Taguchi!
