[Movie] Hold Up Down

0 Farted
Starring: Sakamoto Masayuki, Nagano Hiroshi, Inohara Yoshihiko, Morita Go, Miyake Ken, Okada Junichi, Kashii Yu, Morimoto Leo...

Film opens with two men riding in a car, going somewhere. The first five minutes passed by in silence, the two drove towards a road block and passed by three men talking, and a bloody accident scene. The two men appeared to have reached a destination and later opened a bag to reveal two Santa Claus costumes and weapons.

It appears that the men were going to rob a bank. The two men came out to discover their car is being towed, the men escaped to have the money locked away in a locker. In order to obtain the money for the locker, the men again, robbed a street musician who looks like a hippie. (Long hair, moustache, beard, the whole package.) Hippie musician chased robbers until robbers escaped into a train and dropped the key to the locker that contains the money robbed earlier.

Hippie musician got knocked down by two policemen who dragged him into a car and then got into another accident that left hippie musician flying out from the windshield. Oh and the cops are stinky, corrupt, evil, insane cops. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, hippie musician swallowed the key accidentally.

Somewhere, a minister accidentally set fire and burnt down a church. While thinking that he has no right to live for he has sinned, he tried to jump off a bridge but saw hippie musician floating in the river beneath him. Minister thinks that hippie musician is Jesus and thus attempted to bring him to the hospital for medical attention.

On the other hand, robbers were caught and interrogated by a female police officer who was at the scene of the robber. Older robber fell in love at first sight and found out that the two had more in common that expected...

And the story continues...

*****

...

After the first half an hour, I have no effing clue what the story is about. At all. After the first hour, I gave up on trying to understand a plot. Fifteen minutes after the first hour, I gave up on the idea that there is a plot at all.

Too many things going on at once... too weird.

But gosh, the minister is so... hawt.

What? Not like any minister guy can be so dirty sexy hawt like Morita Go.

But yeah, this movie is the crack of all cracks. In a way that is not very funny in an obvious way. Its funny in a ridiculous way that leaves you going "WTF?" at almost every scene.

I have never seen a more weird-ass movie that makes no sense. In the end, all that is left in my mind is a big question mark and Morita Go and Okada Junichi and KenKen's faces. What?

But in the end... I think I get it a little... just a little...

Its Kashii Yu again. Kashii Yu is everywhere. "Kiiroi Namida", "Yukan Club", "My Boss My Hero", "Death Note", everywhere!

She's my age, and she's married.

Being married at 20 is... is... I don't know... unthinkable for me. But obviously its okay for her...

I don't get how the world works anymore... even more so after watching this movie...

Ah... the world is complicated.
Rating:
2/5

Despite all the hotness in it, I still care about the storyline.

[Drama] My Boss, My Hero

1 Farted
[Moved from my old blog.]

Starring: Tomoya Nagase, Koki Tanaka, Yuya Tegoshi, Kashii Yu, Aragaki Yui...

This is one of the most entertaining dramas I have watched recently. And I have watched A LOT of drams recently. It doesn't star Yamapi (pheww) but it is still very Johnny's. Nagase from TOKIO and Tegoshi from NewS and Koki Tanaka from KAT-TUN.

This drama is funny enough to make you tears flow, touching enough to make tears flow. T_T Ridiculous enough to make me want to throw my chair at my monitor. But I didn't.

I also discovered that to me, the funniest Japanese phrase I know is 'Imi wakanai," No matter who says it, in what situation, it just gives me a laughing fit. It strikes a funny vein or something. xD

Nagase stars as Makio, the young master of a yakuza clan *snickers* who is 27 years old and has problems adding 5 to 25. xD His father, the Boss of the gang threatened Makio that if he doesn't go back to the 3rd year of high school and graduate, his little brother (who looks really freaking annoying) will take his place as the next boss.

And so the 27-year-old, obsessive pudding lover, posed as 17 and went to school. xD He tasted friendship, teamwork and love in school. He fell in love with the girl who sat next to him and lent him a pink mechanical pencil for his exam. He learned how to be a better person, he slowly quit smoking and learnt maths, science, even English. He is so rabu rabu in here I couldn't stand it. I seriously couldn't stand the... fluffiness of the script.

Once, he read a book called 'Hatsukoi' or 'First Love' and then his mind filled with the thoughts of love then every time he saw that girl, Hikari, his heart felt funny. xD Then Koki was reading to him his horoscope and told him he was going to find a love interest, who owns something small and pink, which is the pink mechanical pencil.

It was so funny I had to pause the show, and take a breather before I continued watching. It is so funny!

Yuya's character is Jun who sits next to Makio and affectionately calls Makio Makki. Koki was casted as one of Makio's loyal followers. He worships the ground Makio walks on, it was so comical and hilarious! I *heart* Koki in here. He looks sho kiut and puny next to tall Nagase Tomoya! He looks like a monkey with no hair.

And then and then, a few episodes later, Koki came along and wanted to go to high school as well. OMG this drama is ridiculous! A must-watch. His character is Kazu and he is my favourite in the drama!

The homeroom teacher of Makio's class was so obviously smitten with Makio. It was kinda disturbing. As a punishment for Makio for ripping the school flag (I think) off to fly from the top of one building to another, Makio was asked to write an exchange diary. Whilst reading the diary, the teacher was smiling to herself like a schoolgirl in love. Although he wasn't really a student, but she thought he was, and she was so smitten with him while thinking that he was a student. She even wrote a *heart* at the end, and then realises it later. Gross *shakes head* What has happen to the world nowadays...
PUDDINGS are a big, large, enormous issue in this drama. The high school, besides education, revolves around pudding. One fine day, the canteen didn't receive pudding from the maker, the school was practically in chaos. When the announcement was made through the speakers (Yes, when puddings are not sold, they make announcements) the whole school stopped dead in their tracks and then attacked the canteen owner. xD

The next day, there was still no pudding. Dark clouds appeared above the school, and the students looked like they have had no food for ten days. The school seemed to be in a drought.

Pudding is a must! They suffered without pudding and then they all went mad. xD They even lost the will for exams. Pudding has to be soft, creamy and LIMITED. Or it wouldn't be as good. Damn, this drama good education! xD xD

The race for the puddings is indeed an intense one.

Oh, why oh why? Why are all the dramas I watched recently so good?!

The last episode... T_T

Okay, I am done.

[Movie] Kiiroi Namida

0 Farted
[Moved from my old blog.]

Starring: Ninomiya Kazunari, Aiba Masaki, Ohno Satoshi, Sakurai Sho, Matsumoto Jun, Kashii Yu.

This story follows the journey of 4 young men through the summer of 1963. 4 aspiring young artists. Eisuke (Nino) a manga artist, Kei (Ohno) a painter, Shoichi (Aiba) a singer and Ryuzo (Sho) a novelist. The four struggled through the summer with less than enough to eat, often pawning their valuables or find money through Pachinko. MatsuJun plays a rice store worker who helped and encouraged the 4 through the summer.

This time, there is no synopsis of the story. =D

I am going to instead just focus on what I think the story is trying to convey. (Whoa, that's rare of me to try to be so... 'deep')

The title of the story literally translates to mean 'Yellow Tears'.

Life back in the 60s was hard. The four young men were trying to follow their dreams.

All they wanted was to do what they like for a living.

When Summer began, the three were living at Eisuke's house and then put together enough money to last them through the summer through a series of events.

During the summer, they did exactly what they wanted. They painted, they drew, they wrote, they sang.

This was their idea of freedom.

Without having to worry about food. They did exactly what they wanted.

They thought they could finally find a way to make it work.

If only life could be so perfect.

Should life always turn out the way we planned it, there would only be happy people around.

To live, sometimes, we have to give up what we want most.

We have to sometimes give up what is dear to us.

Life doesn't always turn out the way we want it to.

Shit happens.

We could have dreamed of moving mountains, travelling to space when we were younger.

Such ideals have to be abandoned before we find ourselves depressed about how our lives turned out to be.

Perhaps the best way to live is to just take whatever you could and not hope for the near impossible.

By the end of the summer, their dreams shattered into pieces as they all head off to follow their own paths.

Ah I ran out of things to say. Let me comment on the pictures.

MatsuJun's part is small, he was probably busy filming "HYD" and "Bambino".

If you are wondering why are some parts of the screencap above mosaic-ed, I will tell you that I mosaic-ed it because it has Sakurai Sho and Ohno Satoshi's bare asses.

It is something normal in Japan, grown men bathed together naked with their... equipments out in the open as well.

But... I fear people might not want to see things to such details, so I mosaic-ed it.

And... I am off.

T_T Nice movie though.

[Drama] Yukan Club

[Moved from my old blog]

Starring: Akanishi Jin, Yokoyama Yu, Taguchi Junnosuke, Kashii Yu, Suzuki Emi, Minami.

Episodes: Still Airing

2007

Me loves! ♥

Me loves this drama big time! ♥♥

I mean, even the title is sooooo appropriate. The title literally means "FREE Club" you know free? Free, lots of spare time, perfect for doing stuff that doesn't bring you any benefit.

Okay, the story is a manga adaptation. One of the 9878451231 Japanese dramas that are adapted from mangas. It tells the story of 6 rich and eng people who are practically celebrities in their school. (Some of them so do not look high-school-ish. Puh-lease, Yoko is like, 25. >.>)

Anywhoo, we hearts this drama. And this has to be the drama that is being released subbed the fastest in like... history. Two days after the release of the episodes, the subs are out. Impressive. Two communities are subbing it, Nya and Love Song. ^^

Back to the synopsis. The six free people forming this club are:

  1. Shochikubai Miroku (Akanishi Jin) - *I know his surname sounds funny if you read it too fast... but whatever* The son of a police commissioner. Rich. Always seen with a lolly in his mouth. Loves bikes and electronics.
  2. Kikumasamune Seishiro (Yokoyama Yu) - His dad owns a hospital. Rich. Smartest boy in the school. Patient, level headed. Silent leader of the group, although Miroku appears to be the leader, I think this dude has more influence. *So different from the guy playing it...*
  3. Bidou Granmarie (Taguchi Junnosuke) - Son of an ambassador for... one of those Scandinavian countries... look at that stupid platinum blond hair. He is a playboy and a narcissist. *Taguchi should play Oscar in HanaKimi...*
  4. Hakushika Noriko (Kashii Yuu) - I think her family has something to do with the Tea industry. She is smart and calm. Basically the female version of Seishiro. She has an intense phobia for men...
  5. Kizakura Karen (Suzuki Emi) - Pretty, seductive daughter of a single mom who owns a jewelery business. Her aim in life is to marry some rich dude. The female version of Bidou.
  6. Kenbishi Yuri (Minami) - Eats a lot, family runs some big business, has a vege garden behind her humongous house. Is a martial arts expert. Extremely loud and childish, has no patience. *The actress was said to have dated Ohno Satoshi from Arashi.*
These 6 high school kids basically runs around doing crap to prevent themselves from feeling too eng. End of story.

I said I like it. I didn't say that this story was any interesting.

I like to see free people doing crap. That's all.

I found my favourite character.>.> I keep favouring stupid airheaded characters. He is so Oscar M. Himejima! xD
