This drama is about 8 people who participate in a 'love shuffle' where partners are shuffled on a weekly basis. Each week, they will have a different partner to go on dates with and to get to know. Each person partake in this bizarre arrangement for their own reasons which will slowly be unfolded as the drama progresses. It all started when four residents of a luxury apartment building who live on the same floor were trapped, by chance, in the same elevator at the same time during thunderstorm which caused a power failure. The four - Usami Kei, Aizawa Airu, Sera Oujiro and Kikuta Masato began talking about various things in their lives and found that they are all dissatisfied with the path their lives are taking.

Usami Kei is a young man whose fiancée is the daughter of his boss. Due to this relationship he was quickly promoted to a high rank. When he thought their relationship was going well and that a wedding will soon follow, the fiancee, Kagawa Mei decided that she couldn't follow through the engagement. Not only Kei did not receive an explanation for Mei's actions, but Mei, who appears to still have feelings for Kei, might not know the reasons herself.

Aizawa Airu, a linguistic interpreter kind of person, is attractive and smart. However, she finds that her relationships never go well as she watches her current relationship with rich man Oishi Yukichi fall apart helplessly. Though Yukichi loves Airu, he just could not fill the void in her heart and make her happy. Despite being rich and good-looking, Yukcihi is timid and submissive, a clear contrast with Airu, an outspoken, rough young woman.

Sera Oujiro is a shady professional photographer who mainly takes pictures of models, gravure models, fashion models. Models. Smooth-talking and confident and good-looking, Oujiro seems to be able to have his way with women. But the woman he is sleeping with is an older, curvy, married woman named Kamijo Reiko. Reiko is a scorned wife whose husband does not see her as a woman. She feels unwanted and seeks to become promiscuous with various man.

Kikuta Masato is a mature, reliable psychiatrist who seems to be able to think rationally about the happenings around him while retaining an air of mystery about him. One of his patients is a young art major university student, Hayakawa Kairi. Her father is a strict man who forbids her to do anything besides art. She feels trapped by his restrictions and rules and subsequently becomes suicidal. Masato proposed a "Love Shuffle" amongst his neighbours, their partners and Kairi which might or might not be driven by his concern for Kairi as a patient...

The eight individuals agreed to the arrangement though some participants needed some persuasion. Will new couples be formed? Or will old couples reunite? See... I don't know. It is extremely confusing.

*****

Expected pairings, slowly gets rather boring, but overall good. I'd spend more time with this entry but I have to uh... prepare for a presentation for my report and some other stuff.

So here's a brief on. Couplings, you can tell from the second episode or third. Tamaki Hiroshi annoyed me, favourite character Matsuda Shota's up until the point where he got boring and broke down because he thought Kairi was dead.

Halfway through, they tried to play up the mystery, but when the explanation for the mystery was done near the end, they were just boring. It is like they build up the anticipation, but could not deliver the big boom towards the end. It is like... uh... they Y2K, if anyone remembers that shit. So, towards the end of 1999, everyone was all "OMFG, like what is going to happen?" and then 2000 came and there really wasn't that big of a fuss. Yeah, like that.

Also, there were a lot of factors they used to kick up the drama and 'mystery' if that's what you want to call it. I call it confusion. There were too many characters and limited time for character development. What you had was just a simple explanation of the characters' backgrounds when two of the characters were having a heart-to-heart conversation. Was not satisfactory. The 8 main characters were this drama's best feature, yet it caused the drama's worst. Also, the various reference to Japanese popular culture and other random references which were incorporated into their conversations can cause much confusion to those who don't understand. Considering the fact that I watched this raw... I am lucky to understand as much as I do.

I did, however, enjoyed. In fact, I haven't finished watching "Voice" and "Triangle", so it will be a little bit hard to decide which was the champ for the season for me.

So... the 'good bye' towards the end of the movie means that the cow is dry? I mean, they should realize that the cow is dry right? I bet the udders are old and wrinkly. xD What? It is a metaphor. Anyways, they didn't hold back on showering this production with all the money it needs eh? Across continents they traveled to shoot this movie. From Japan to Vegas to Hong Kong... and then to some presumed deserted island. I guess they want to glamourize the last bucket of milk they squeeze from the franchise.

I can see why this was much fussed over, I mean, we want an ending to our story. And as if the previous endings were not satisfactory enough, when a new ending pops up, naturally, we are curious. This story focuses more on the main characters of Tsukasa and Tsukushi. It is very fun watching Jun the smartass play Tsukasa the idiot. And Jun and Mao's chemistry can be seen clearly in this installment, I guess the cast forged a tight relationship through the years. If Jun weren't so gay, I'd hope some sparks got transfered off screen. Oh well.

Though the Domyoji Enterprise's fame was a bit exaggerated. What is Tsukasa? Like the Japanese male version of Paris Hilton? xD I mean, a tattoo-clad American truck driver asking for his autograph? Yeah, right. But gosh, Jun and his skinny bag of bones... hunting for fish... swimming, shaving. Topless. Ah~ turned on, I am. xD For a moment there, I forgot he nances around when he isn't Tsukasa. Just a moment though. xD

Inoue Mao looks pretty here and of course, especially in that final scene. I am relieved that it is over though, albeit a bit sad. I mean... there was always the next Hanadan to look forward to, but not anymore. Oh wait... Korean version. Fat chance I am going to watch it though. Cos like, I bet it will be drenched in tears. The Japanese version is funny. The Taiwanese version is horrible. Horrible. I don't want to remember it. Oh~

Ah, finally, they let the cow rest. About time. It was fun watching it even if the plot is a lame excuse for making more money. Sigh.

[Spoilers]

Yet another one of many dramas, movies whatever... that tells you, whatever material wants that you strive for may not be what is important. At times, when you look back, you wonder if everything you sacrificed to get there is worthy of the ending you get.

Yeah, nice message. whatever... by the way... the hot dude in this drama is hot. xD

Matsuda Shota plays a dude who will help her rise to her desired number one spot. The way he appeared was totally cool! Damn, this is the first time I thought a yakuza character is shaggable. xD Though I have to say that his characters are rather bland and lack facial expression. xD I cannot tell if he is trying to project cockiness or sincerity at times. But its the same awkwardness that makes him so... ah~~ Yeah, that. His brother is more versatile and though they sometimes share the same blank expression, Ryuhei's characters work better. At least to me. And yes, I know Shota is the hotter one... but Ryuhei has a different type of attraction. Both brothers are excessively shy though.

Enough about hot brothers. Kato Rosa is pretty. Doesn't look older than I am but is older than I am. Totally like her. xD Watched her when she went on Domoto Tsuyoshi no Shoujiki Shindoi. First impression... thought she was a child actress. xD LOL. Yeah, whatever. Anyways, rumour has it she used to date... errr I forgot, its Jin or Pi or Jun. xD I forgot, its not like I keep up with who they are dating, you know? xD Yeah.

Sakai Ayana can play a bitch too eh? Thought she was always the kind hearted, perfect, rich, talented ex-girlfriend of the main male character. xD Can I go back to talking about Matsuda Shota now? You know I am dying to go on and on... but its just... yeah, I won't. xD LOL. xD

Ihara Tsuyoshi delivers his part with umph and manliness. I miss watching Letters From Iwojima. That horse riding character of his~ there's something about men and horses that I like. Of course... facial hair as well. Facial hair~

OMG Hayami Mokomichi is in there! Well playing Night has an effect on me in terms of his likability after all. But he is a complete asshole in here but then he has a conscience as well. xD Always preferred Soushi over Night in the drama though. xD Btw, its finished, Zettai Kareshi. Even if Shota is really tall as a Japanese, he cannot even compare with Hayami Mokomichi. That is how tall this man is. Seriously~ creepily tall. Too tall.

Date Naoto's infatuation with Ayaka and his dedication to help her without her knowing is unrealistic. And the man is probably stupid. xD But it works though, making girls fawning over this character. Ah~ From when she was a clumsy girl trying to brashly make her way up the social ladder to her being the most successful hostess in Ginza, Naoto was always there, supporting her unconditionally. Even as he was dying, he worked hard to ensure the realization of Ayaka's dream that became his dream as well. His dream as to watch Ayaka become the Jotei. T_T That's, that is just a killer for a hopeless romantic like... um... NOT ME. Oh shit, I wanna watch "Bara no nai Hanaya" isn't Matsuda Shota in that too?

Yeah, whatever. I won't have the same feeling of awe for him tomorrow. xD That's me. I forget.

I am really divided between serious dramas and stupid dramas (those with a comedic effect in every scene.) I would like to think that I prefer neither. It has got to be the cast that draws the viewers in anyways. I think nowadays, storylines are basically a copy of a copy of a copy. Say one drama is about shit happening to a pilot, they'd just change it for the next drama into shit happening to a lawyer. Same formula goes. Change the cast, throw in a few other influences. BAM, you have a new drama.

The cast the key. xD At least to me. I so finished this drama in one night... though the night extends to the morning. At 3.30 a.m. I am doing this entry. xD

Rating: 4/5 (Still cannot get over Naoto's rather tragic end to his young life.)

And... just because I feel like it and I totally think that god should make all men up to such standards.

[Buzz] Can You Say "Awww"?

0 Farted
I don't know when this was... but aww...

I didn't know that there was this thing happening... awww...

SawaEri looks so pretty in here...

And Nishikado... I mean Matsuda Shota looks so all-smiles.

Awww....

Awww
Awww
I found a few picture of different couples... If they're having lunch, I'd call them friends, when they hold hands... well... I'll call them a couple.

Aww... young people in love...

I feel so old... being 20 and not in love...

*Goes out to find love*

Yeah, right, maybe later.

I don't get the meaning of life anymore. Classes start, I get too busy, break starts, I turn into a vege. Its always the extremes... I wish I can have activities without being too busy.

Oh wait, wrong blog to talk about personal stuff.

But... awww... young love.

I know they're not like, YOUNG, but if its under 30 I guess its still okay, besides, its perfectly normal for people to marry in their 30s nowadays.

20s is the decade where you get the most fun and action. With freedom and money and stuff. You know, when you start to earn yet you stay at home and be parasites to your parents... but they don't really care if you don't come home for the night...

Not that I do that. Cos I am still... like... not earning, but when I EARN... Oh monay is good for health.

*Realizes she got out of topic*

Aww.... young love.
