2008
Starring: Nakama Yukie, Miura Haruma, Takaki Yuya and BAD (Swelly Lips and Fish Face.)
Yankumi continues on to capture the hearts of her students using a painfully repetitive strategy. The sick part is that... the students will fall for it and you know it. On the plus side, Kazama Ren oozes manliness beyond his years and we like it.
Viewership ratings for the drama surpassed 20% for all episodes aired. That is like, brilliant. The first episode went as high as 26.4%. We are amazed. Aqua Timez sang the theme song called "Niji" while Takaki Yuya pulled a Kamenashi Kazuya and sang "Oretachi no Seishun".
I initially quite hated Takaki Yuya, I guess he played Kamenashi Kazuya's role as the cold, quiet and shadow-leader-ish character in the group. While Miura Haruma played what Akanishi Jin played, the upfront leader, the stupid one.
I have this naggy little voice in my head telling me "White highlights, white highlights! Like Sawada Shin! Remember Sawada Shin (MatsuJun) had that white streak of hair? Ah... besides, like Miura Haruma has this hot manly thing going on. I just... I am... a disgrace.
I think the scripts are mercilessly recycled, with names and airing order changed and "bam" they air it. And surprisingly, the viewership ratings soared higher than that of Zettai Kareshi and Last Friends. Gotta admire Nakama Yukie for playing the same role over and over again. And the success of this drama series is not going to be credited to Johnny's alone. Not Gokusen 3. Sure Takaki Yuya is the sorta leader guy, his name gets credited first - because Johnny's are like that. BUT, Miura Haruma, fresh from his Koizora fame, should not be overlooked. Now if only Japanese boys can be hairier.
And they have gone from one Johnny's boy in the first drama, to two in the second, to three in the third. So, like... will there be a fourth, fifth, sixth drama? Why don't they just make it another 3 Nen B Gumi Kinpachi sensei, only with boys and make it a platform to launch green Johnny's into the show business?
*Gasp* is that Yamada Yu in the Fourth Episode?
Nevermind that first.
Ah~~ Kazama Ren. *Slaps self* T_T He is so good at playing a juvenile delinquent. xD
Update upon finishing:
Err... I have decided to not watch anymore Gokusens should it spawn any successor. Nope. Too young for me to lust over anyways. I draw my line with Miura. xD
xD
Rating: 2/5 (No more, please. I am sick of it.)
